Short update and Prayers Needed

Hi All

Looks like our family continues to grow. I am not sure what God has in mind but seems to me we could use some help along with the new children He has been sending us lately. Please keep that in Prayer for us. I spoke with Phimpha this morning and she had gone to speak at a church a few hours before. When she got there she was also supposed to talk with a mother that had three children. Well the mother really did not want to talk as much as she wanted to leave her two sons from a previous marriage with Phimpha. Her new husband did not want to be raising some one’s else’s children with his. So the mother had told the kids to pack a bag and she was leaving them with Phimpha. I can not imagine how a child thinks after living with Mom or others for 13 years then being told to pack your bag because I am going to leave you with a stranger today, You will not be coming home with me. They had never met Phimpha before. When Phimpha seen them sitting there with there bags, naturally her heart breaks, knowing all to well the pain and fear they are feeling. So she did not hesitate to take them home. They are two brothers 12 and 13, both from Cambodia. They have never been to school. Phimpha said they are very small in statue. Most likely from lack of food growing up. Their mother remarried to a Thai man. They now have a child between them and He said they must go. Hard to understand for us, but that is the way it is. That is one of the many reasons we continue to work like we do. Only God can change the hearts. Please keep them in Prayer as they try to adjust to a new life. Actually they are the lucky ones. Mom did not sell them and now they will grow up loved and with a good solid footing. God will heal them.
In Christ

Short Update

Hello All

First of all I want to thank those who do not let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. We do not know who you are but God does. It came at a great time for His ministry that continues to grow. We always move forward in Faith no matter what. Some times slow and difficult with much trouble and persecution but always forward. Thank You to all who give. You are all a part of His ministry. Lives are being changed and saved everyday.
All of us are missionaries. We all need to be reaching those near us. Some are called to go out, but most are called to speak and be examples to those we meet everyday. We are all lights for Christ and we must keep the light on the hill for all to see. It’s a hard thing to remember in our day to day rush. We never know the outcome of a kind word to a stranger. We are planting seeds and others come and water and another reaps, but it is credited to all who had a part. Do not count the saved or think about the numbers. Just keep the light burning bright to those around us. If we as Christians, look the same to the world as non-Christians, then we have failed. We can not conform to the world and claim to follow God. God is the same yesterday and tomorrow. His tolerance of sin is and always has been the same. Sin is darkness. Darkness and God cannot be together. We are all sinners, but we must strive to be righteous. Always love the sinner but never tolerate the sin. Not in our own lives or those we touch.
My land sold last Tuesday for 51k. We will end up with less after closing costs and fees, but I am grateful to have gotten that much. By the world standards it was a big loss for me personally, but a great profit to the ministry, and that, is the only thing that counts. The bulk of the funds will go to buy the Shelter house we have rented for the last year. It is a multipurpose property and God has plans for it. The fruit trees and land help with food for the children and many others we work with. We can plant fruit and vegetables there without the fear of loosing it to the night raiders that like to visit us. (elephants) It will also have a place for others to come and pray. Just some small shelter, away from the world to spend quiet time with God. It is also home, for now, to our two oldest boys. They go to school in a town nearby. Luke 16 and Joe 15. They live there alone, for. They grow up fast in Thailand. Many are on there own before 15. We will also use the property for healing, for those who we help out from abusive situations. Those who we help, who are broken in spirit, need a quiet place that is safe. Somewhere they can be nurtured and helped to regain control of their lives. God will restore them. Throwing the broken-hearted into Timothy House with all the hustle and bustle there is not good. When they are ready and want to be part of our family, they can move over to Timothy House, where the majority of us live.
I was hoping to bring Phimpha and a friend over here to the states for a visit, but that is not looking good right now. We need some funds from the sale of the land, but it looks like the closing will be after the time she can come. Last minute tickets prices are not an option. She is busy with the ministry for July and August. If anyone is willing to help us with a bridge loan to make it happen, you can contact me. ($4,000.) I know if God wants her here it will happen, so I keep praying. It would be a nice break for her.
I will be returning to MN this Sunday. Then as feasible as possible, after the land closes, I will be heading home to Thailand. Probably toward the end of June. Due to ticket pricing. I am severely needed back home. I feel my work here is done. So unless God has another plan, that is mine and I am sticking to it.See you in MN.

Blessings
Rodney
